African/ Nigerian Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

 Hey lovelies, so I will write a couple of late posts that I should have written a million months ago. Late last year I got to go to Malaysia for a weekend getaway with two of my girlfriends and we had so much fun.

 My girlfriends I absolutely love African food and African music and I know there is a big African community in Kuala Lumpur, and where there’s an African community, there is bound to be a couple of African Restaurants. And by African restaurants I really mean Nigerian Restaurants :D See in any African Expat community, Nigerians always make up the majority, so in any given country there’s bound to be a couple of Nigerian Restaurants, bars and clubs where Nigerian expats converge, eat Nigerian food and listen to Nigerian music. I love Nigerian food and music and so do a lot of other Africans and people from all over the world. So the first thing I did when planning this trip was to get online and try to find some Nigerian Restaurants in KL to hit up once we were there. Unfortunately I could not find anything (which made me really sad) but it’s all good as we met up with a friend living in KL who knew where all the best Nigerian Restaurants and African bars/clubs were and I could breathe a sigh of relief.

So I decided to write this post as I can imagine there are a million other people out there wondering where to eat delicious Nigerian cuisine, dance to amazing African beats while interacting with people from all over Africa whilst in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

We went to the  Restaurant in Sunway Pyramid Mall called Rainforest and i was delighted to see that it was packed with Africans from all different countries. I ordered my favorite Nigerian food which is rice, stew and fried plantain and my friends got a huge plate of egusi and suji to share. It was absolutely delicious. We danced away to Nigerian music and there was no better way to start off our night :)

I have heard horror stories from China, Hong Kong, Thailand etc. Black Africans experience the worst kind of racism in these countries. I have personally experienced racism in so many aspects of my life here in Cambodia and I will talk about it here for two reasons. 1) To spread awareness and 2) It is the issue I get asked most about in emails. 1. Visa on arrival at the Phnom Penh International Airport. Cambodia is one of the easiest countries to enter. Majority of passport holders do not need to have a visa before hand, Kenya (and many other African countrues) included. One just needs to apply for a business or tourist visa on arrival at the airport when they land. Hello lovelies,today I want to share some of the most instagrammable places in Cambodia (that is not Angkor Wat), for the everyday person like me who does not have big professional cameras, drones and other fancy equipment haha. Swimming pools In Phnom Penh, many hotels will allow you to use their pools if you spend a certain amount of money on food and beverage. Some of the nicer hotels will have a charge to use the pool. Here are some of my favorite pools. Plantation DM me on IG for the name of this location. This one too The Kabiki 2. The beach Cambodia has some amazing beaches and islands. Some of my fave pics are: Otres beach 3. Islands My favorite island is Koh rong Samloem island. You get there by taking a bus from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville and then a speedboat to Koh Rong Samloem. The views are ridiculously beautiful. Almost unreal. Koh Rong Samloem Island 4.
